Areas of Practice

design & construction disputes

Natalya has helped countless design and construction clients—from architects to contractors and subcontractors—with a wide-range of design and construction-related disputes including professional liability claims, disputes between owners, contractors and subcontractors, and preparation of change orders and claims for additional time and money.

INSURANCE

Natalya represents insureds in mediation, arbitration and in federal and state courts. Her experience includes representing construction contractors in contract, defect, and worksite accident matters, representing clients in product and premises liability cases, and defending clients against professional liability claims.

contract drafting, negotiation & risk management

Natalya has reviewed, drafted and negotiated hundreds of contracts ranging in value from several thousand to several million dollars. She counsels clients concerning risk mitigation and contract formation and represents clients in connection with breach of contract claims.

EmPloyment-based immigration

Natalya dedicates a portion of her law practice to employment-based immigration. This work includes assisting companies and individuals with business and investor visas such as TN, H-1B, L, E-3, and E-1/E-2 visas. Natalya was formerly employed as a Regional Immigration Specialist for a large staffing company and assisted hundreds of Boeing and Microsoft contractors with employment-based visa needs.

civil litigation

Natalya supports clients through every step of the dispute resolution process, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration and trial. Although step one is counseling clients on the most cost-effective means of reaching a settlement, sometimes litigation is necessary. Natalya’s experience extends to jury and bench trials and administrative hearings.

Real-Estate

Natalya provides assistance with review and preparation of purchase and sale agreements, leasing and property management and litigation over real estate developments and leases to owners and purchasers of single and multi-family residential properties and commercial office buildings.

Client Testimonials

Natalya is simply the best at what she does, a true talent at dispute, contract law, and solving complex problems with concrete actionable steps. I’m amazed at how she can keep step with many varied demands in a timely and orderly fashion. She’s worked on a number of projects for me and is able to handle many facets of the law which I have limited knowledge. Natalya will make sure you are getting what you need in a way that is cost effective with a high likelihood of success. For the work that I do, this is critically important, as one can waste time and resources going down paths that lead to nowhere.

We hired Natalya to defend a case for our company and she showcased her exceptional negotiating skills, efficiency and effectiveness by quickly bringing the case to a positive conclusion for us. We would happily work with her again in future.

Natalya filled in on a major contractor dispute when my previous attorney had to drop my case. Her ability to grasp the key elements of the case and to become quickly effective in dealing with the opposing attorney was incredible. She moved the case further in that month than my previous attorney had in 6 months. Natalya is extremely detail-oriented, highly communicative, and works fast. I highly recommend her for contractor disputes!

The small firm I manage has an employee from another country. We have been developing his skill since he was in college and we want to keep him. Natalya Maze guided us through what this process entailed and did all the heavy lifting in the process. She made it easy for us and was very clear. Although our HIB applicant did not get selected in this year’s lottery, he is all set for us to reapply next April, with the minimum hassle. Having a clear plan allows us all to be free to continue working together. We appreciate Ms. Maze’s thoroughness, clarity, and support and will be engaging her again.
